Founded in 2015, C-LARS designs and manufactures custom launch and recovery systems (LARS), winches, hydraulic power units, A-frames, and other mission-critical equipment for the offshore, oceanographic, government, military, aerospace, and commercial marine industries.
Our equipment is engineered, manufactured, tested, and supported in-house from our facility in Snook, Texas. We serve customers around the world and have built a reputation for delivering technically advanced, highly customized solutions backed by exceptional service and support.

As we continue to grow, we are expanding our Engineering Department and are looking for a talented and passionate individual to join our team!
This position will work both independently and with the Engineering Department to design new product builds and support the production shop with engineering needs using SolidWorks software. The position will have the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to the creation of cutting-edge solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Collaborate with team members to identify customer requirements and develop product design concepts.
- Use SolidWorks software to create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings of new products and components.
- Iterate on designs based on feedback from testing and validation processes.
- Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and analyses to validate designs and ensure they meet performance, safety, and reuse requirements.
- Identify and resolve design issues or concerns through analytical methods.
- Research and evaluate materials and manufacturing processes to optimize product performance, cost, and manufacturability.
- Communicate project status, milestones, and technical information effectively to the Director of Engineering and other stakeholders and team members.
- Streamline the product development process by leveraging proven designs and engineering solutions when appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education level: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Hard Skills:
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or other CAD software for 3D modeling and engineering drawings.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply engineering principles to practical challenges.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office-Familiar with SharePoint or other EDMS
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $62,000.00 - $74,000.00 per year
