Great Harvest Bread Co. is launching an elevated evening experience featuring artisanal tapas, carefully curated beers, and wines. We're looking for servers who understand that hospitality is a performance art—not in a literal sense, but in spirit. You are the experience. Position: Server, Evening Service
Hours: 4 PM onwards
Location: Midlothian, VA
What we're looking for: Genuine hospitality energy. The ability to be present and engaged on every shift. A real interest in food, wine, and beer. Someone who takes pride in creating an experience, not just delivering plates.
Restaurant experience is required—but serving experience is not. If you've been a busser, host, or to-go team member and you're ready to take that next step, we want to hear from you.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff.
- Provide attentive service throughout the dining experience, upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols.
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and resetting tables to ensure a smooth flow of service during busy hours.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations for bills and tips.
- Maintain excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant experience or food service background is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with guests and team members confidently.
- Basic math skills for cashiering, bill splitting, and upselling techniques.
