About Us

CORE Consultants is a civil engineering and land surveying firm based in Englewood and Winter Park, Colorado. Since opening in 2014, CORE has grown from an eight-person shop into a team of engineering and surveying professionals serving public and private clients across land development, public infrastructure, and energy, work that spans over 2,700 projects and 35,000+ acres planned and entitled.

CORE has been recognized nationally by Inc. Magazine, the Denver Business Journal, and Zweig Group for its team culture. The firm focuses exclusively on the civil fundamentals, grading, drainage, roadway and utility design, and land surveying, the stages of a project that set everything else up to succeed.

About the Role

Own project design and technical delivery for land development projects across Colorado.

Design ownership: Prepare designs, reports, and analysis for projects from initial concept through construction.
Scope and fees: Help develop project scope, fees, and documentation, and review drawings.
Technical direction: Guide other engineers, designers, and CADD technicians on approach and quality.
Client and agency liaison: Support the Project Manager as a point of contact with clients, agencies, subcontractors, and consultants.
Budget support: Assist with project invoices, budgets, and AR review.
Project priorities: Establish priorities and standards, coordinating across disciplines and departments.
Team coordination: Plan, schedule, and coordinate the project team, including review agencies.
Site presence: Attend client and agency meetings and visit project sites as needed.

Expected Outcomes

Within 30 Days: Ramped up on CORE's design standards and current project load, taking ownership of assigned design tasks.
Within 60 Days: Leading the design approach on at least one project from concept forward, coordinating directly with the Project Manager.
Within 90 Days: Operating as a full liaison between clients, agencies, and the project team, with minimal oversight on day-to-day design decisions.

Need to Have

Experience: Minimum 4 years of relevant engineering experience.
Tools: Proficient in Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
Licensure: EIT required, actively on the path toward PE (PE preferred).
Work style: Strong communicator with good work ethic, flexibility, and the ability to mentor others.

Nice to Have

Subdivision design: Experience with subdivision design or the development process.
Client familiarity: Background working with land development and real estate clients.

Schedule

Hours: 40 hours per week.
Location: Hybrid, based in Englewood, CO.
Start date: ASAP.

Compensation

Base: $74,000 to $109,000, based on experience.
Bonus: Discretionary, performance-based.
Benefits: PTO, health insurance (employer covers 50% of costs, including family), 401(k) with a 100% match on the first 3% and 50% match on the next 2%, vested immediately, flexible hours, professional development, and 2 paid volunteer days per year.

Pay: $74,000.00 - $109,000.00 per year
