Overview

The Rose House is seeking an experienced and motivated Family Coordinator/Counselor to join our close-knit and collaborative clinical team.

At The Rose House, we believe healing happens in community. Our Primary Therapists and Family Coordinator are the heart of our nationally recognized women’s program, working side by side with a dedicated team to deliver exceptional, evidence-based care. We are seeking a candidate who is specifically looking for the opportunity to practice in a unique, longer-term residential setting—one that offers a deeper level of challenge and reward than traditional outpatient work.

The ideal candidate has experience in family systems, intervention, case management and residential treatment. A professional who has both experience and comfort in directly addressing clients when their thinking is rooted in trauma responses, victim mentality, entitlement, or maladaptive coping strategies. At The Rose House, the issues our clients face are matters of life and death and we have a responsibility as their treatment providers to help them effect change. For that reason, we hold ourselves to a higher standard of appropriate intervention, compassionate confrontation, and authentic connection. Since 2007, The Rose House has provided high-quality, long term, residential treatment to women across the country. As a mental health primary and dual diagnosis program, we specialize in addressing trauma as the underlying cause of mental health and substance use disorders. Our intimate and nurturing environment allows staff to witness genuine transformation and long-term recovery in the lives of our clients.

Family Coordinator tasks, duties and responsibilities include:

This could be a full time or part time position.

Meet with the new clients within 48 hours of intake
Call primary family members within 48-72 hours. Introduce and explain the family coordinator/case management position. Provide a general update, review settling in period, visitation, allowance, family programming and answer Rose House program questions.
Provide general updates to family members regarding their loved one weekly and/or as needed.
Prioritize and delegate case management tasks.
Facilitate Family Support Group twice per month
Educate and provide resources and redirection for families to encourage and support their own recovery journey and Parallel Process while at The Rose House.
Act as Liaison between client and their families.
Provide regular updates to and build strong relationships with professional referral sources such as interventionists, consultants, therapists, etc.
Fulfill the role of primary contact for all family members.
Co-Facilitate and coordinate quarterly/ 2.5 daylong Family Weekends.
Attend Family Sessions with clients, Rose House therapists, and family members.
Provide interventions with clients and families.

Competencies

Skilled in evidence-based and holistic modalities for treating trauma, mental health, and substance use disorders.
Comfort and confidence in confronting clients compassionately when their patterns of thinking and behavior reflect victim mentality, entitlement, or maladaptive coping skills.
Ability to intervene in high-stakes clinical situations, including attempts to discharge from the program early, while maintaining therapeutic rapport and client safety.
Strong ability to work collaboratively within a clinical team, contributing to a culture of support and professional growth.
Professional, clear, and compassionate communication with colleagues, clients, and families.
Knowledge of community resources, family systems, recovery principles, and legal/ethical standards.
Respect for cultural and lifestyle diversity.

Qualifications (Qualifications may be subject to modification based on the Americans with Disabilities Act)

Masters degree preferred in social work, counseling, psychology, or social science. Preferably Licensed by the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies as an LCSW, MFT, LPC, LAC , CAS. For the right individual with intervention, case managment and treatment experience, we will consider less education.
Prefer 3 years professional experience in the therapeutic space. Ideally having experience within a treatment organization. Experience in recovery a plus.
Must have a valid driver’s license and pass background checks.
Vision, hearing, manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination must be adequate for performance of job duties.
Able to sit at a desk, use keyboard, write and physically perform other job duties. Able to move about the facility to observe clients and staff.
Specific qualifications may vary based on assignment.
CPR/First Aid/AED certification within 90 days of employment and maintained thereafter.
Computer skills adequate to perform word processing duties and to thoroughly document treatment in EHR within expected timeframe.
