Full Job Description

As an Electrical Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing commercial electrical construction projects from pre-construction through completion. This role involves managing project schedules, budgets, manpower, and customer relationships while coordinating with field personnel, vendors, and general contractors to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget. You must follow all company procedures, safety guidelines, and industry standards while maintaining strong communication throughout every phase of the project.

Knowledge of OSHA safety standards, the National Electrical Code (NEC), and industry best practices.
Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and project teams.
Willingness to travel nationally and work on-site as required.

Duties & Responsibilities

Manage commercial electrical projects from pre-construction through project completion.
Develop, maintain, and update project schedules to ensure deadlines are met.
Prepare and maintain monthly and bi-weekly cost reports, including Work in Progress (WIP) and profit projections.
Coordinate project manpower requirements with the General Superintendent.
Prepare and maintain Schedule of Values and pay applications throughout the project.
Create, manage, and track change orders and project documentation.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and general contractors.
Oversee daily project coordination and support field operations.
Respond promptly to Requests for Information (RFIs) and project-related issues.
Review project plans, specifications, addendums, and design changes.
Approve vendor invoices for payment.
Monitor project budgets and ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
Ensure all work complies with company standards, OSHA regulations, and applicable electrical codes.

Experience

High School Diploma or GED required.
3–5 years of design/build electrical construction experience.
Previous experience managing commercial electrical construction projects.
Experience preparing estimates, budgets, cost reports, and project forecasts.
Experience with project scheduling and change order management.
Proficiency with Accubid or similar estimating software preferred.
Experience coordinating with field personnel, general contractors, and subcontractors throughout the construction process.
