Associate Attorney

Denver Metro Area | Full-Time

We are a boutique, aggressive, and compassionate law firm based in the Denver metro area. Our mission is simple: fight relentlessly for people who are being railroaded by powerful institutions—courts, prosecutors, insurance companies, and bureaucracies that prioritize efficiency over fairness.

We don’t operate like a volume firm. We take cases personally, prepare aggressively, and advocate hard for our clients at every stage. We make sure our team has modern equipment and tools to enjoy the work and do it well. We are a hybrid workforce and we go where we're needed.

We are seeking an Associate Attorney with 2-4 years of experience who wants meaningful responsibility, consistent courtroom exposure, and the opportunity to build a strong professional reputation in the Denver legal community.

We need this Associate to support overflow from the Criminal/Traffic defense docket and the Personal Injury docket, and we are also looking to add Workers Compensation to the firm's regular capabilities. The ideal candidate would be bringing a book of business from either practice area, and/or have lead referral sources in the community.

***Practice Areas***

This role includes hands-on work in:

Criminal Defense
Traffic Defense
Personal Injury
Workers Compensation

***What You’ll Do***

Handle criminal defense matters from arraignment through disposition

Represent clients in traffic cases, including hearings and negotiations

Manage your own workers compensation cases from beginning to end

Appear regularly in courts along the Front Range

Draft motions, pleadings, discovery responses, and legal correspondence

Negotiate with prosecutors and insurance companies from a position of strength

Serve as a strong, compassionate advocate for clients navigating intimidating legal systems

Communicate clearly and honestly about strategy, risks, and expectations

Build trust with clients who often feel ignored or mistreated by institutions

Manage your caseload efficiently using case management software and digital tools

Track deadlines, court dates, and tasks with precision

Continuously improve personal workflows and systems

Actively represent the firm at networking events, bar functions, and community events

Build referral relationships with other attorneys and professionals

Participate in firm marketing initiatives and local outreach

Be a visible, professional ambassador for the firm in the community

***What We’re Looking For***

J.D. from an accredited law school

Licensed and in good standing with the Colorado Bar

1-3 years of experience in criminal law in Colorado

Experience in Workers Compensation is a HUGE plus!

Comfort and experience appearing in court and advocating for clients

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Highly organized and self-directed

Comfortable using technology to manage cases and deadlines

Extroverted, confident, and enjoys networking

Compassionate and client-focused

Comfortable taking ownership of cases and outcomes

Already has a book of business and referral sources

Base salary: $95,000–$125,000, depending on experience
