Full Job Description

Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Contracted Process Server serving the South Denver areas! In this vital role, you will be responsible for delivering and serving a wide variety of legal and court documents with professionalism, accuracy, and efficiency. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will ensure that legal processes are completed smoothly, helping our clients meet critical deadlines and uphold legal procedures. This position offers flexible scheduling, the opportunity to work independently, and the chance to make a meaningful impact in the legal community.

Duties

Serve a diverse range of legal documents including subpoenas, summons, eviction notices, restraining orders, child support documents, divorce papers, foreclosure notices, liens, injunctions, criminal and civil complaints, petitions, writs, and trust documents.
Use mobile data collection software and mobile devices to document service attempts and successful deliveries accurately.
File proof of service in accordance with procedural law requirements and maintain detailed process serving records management.
Conduct private investigations as needed to locate individuals or verify addresses for service purposes.
Scan and organize served documents for record keeping and future reference.
Communicate professionally with clients and recipients regarding service attempts or issues encountered during delivery.
Follow all procedural laws and ethical standards related to process serving while maintaining confidentiality and professional ethics at all times.

Experience

Proven experience in process serving or courier services preferred; familiarity with serving legal documents such as subpoenas, summons, notices to quit, eviction notices, and other court-related paperwork is highly desirable.
Knowledge of procedural law related to service of process across different jurisdictions.
Strong report writing skills for documenting service attempts accurately and thoroughly.
Experience using mobile data collection software and mobile devices for record keeping.
Ability to work independently with excellent time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
Valid personal vehicle for document delivery within designated South Denver areas; reliable transportation is essential.
Demonstrated professionalism with strong ethical standards when handling sensitive legal documents.
