Overview
This role focuses on delivering first-class guest welcome and seating experiences, managing reservations and flow, and supporting a premier dining experience in a fast-paced, seasonal environment. Discretion and poise are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome guests warmly as they arrive, greet and assist with seating, and communicate wait times accurately.
Manage reservations, walk-ins, and seating charts to optimize dining room flow and minimize wait times.
Escort guests to tables, present menus, and provide a concise overview of offerings and room amenities.
Maintain a professional, polished appearance and demeanor aligned with luxury standards.
Coordinate with front-of-house and kitchen teams to ensure smooth service flow and timely seating arrangements.
Monitor dining room occupancy and anticipate peak periods; communicate needs to supervisors and peers.
Address guest questions and special requests with courtesy; resolve issues or escalate to management when appropriate.
Uphold confidentiality around guest information, brand strategies, and opening details.
Assist with coordinating special events, private dining, and group reservations when applicable.
Support with front-of-house operational tasks as needed to maintain a seamless guest experience.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards in all service areas.
Qualifications and Skills
Prior experience in a host/guest services role, preferably in upscale, fine-dining, or resort settings; winter season experience in Aspen is a plus.
Exceptional hospitality instincts, with a calm-and-helpful approach and strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities; comfortable multitasking in a dynamic environment.
Familiarity with reservation systems and front-of-house software; basic cash handling is a plus.
Professional appearance and demeanor aligned with luxury standards.
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, seasonal setting with varying shifts.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak periods; willingness to adapt to changing schedules.
High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality-related training or certifications are a plus.
Ability to thrive in a confidential, startup-like setting where openings and concepts may evolve.
