General Manager – Milagros Coffee House

Organization: La Puente Home, Inc.
Location: Alamosa, Colorado
Position: Full-Time (40 hours/week)
Salary: $45,000–$48,000 annually

Lead a Coffee House That Changes Lives

Milagros Coffee House is more than a café. As a social enterprise of La Puente Home, every cup of coffee served helps support programs that provide food, shelter, and advocacy to individuals and families experiencing homelessness throughout the San Luis Valley.

We're looking for a General Manager who is passionate about leadership, customer service, and building great teams. If you enjoy creating welcoming spaces, developing employees, and taking ownership of a successful business, we'd love to meet you.

This is an opportunity to lead one of the Valley's most recognizable coffee houses while making a meaningful impact in your community.

What You'll Do

You'll oversee the daily operations of Milagros while ensuring an exceptional experience for both customers and employees.

Responsibilities include:

Leading, coaching, and supporting baristas and kitchen staff.
Hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and developing employees.
Maintaining high standards of customer service, food quality, and cleanliness.
Managing inventory, ordering, and daily operational needs.
Monitoring sales, deposits, and basic financial reporting.
Coordinating community events and local outreach activities.
Maintaining compliance with food safety and health regulations.
Responding professionally to customer concerns and operational challenges.

Building a dependable, customer-focused team.
Creating a positive workplace culture with strong employee engagement.
Maintaining consistent operational excellence.
Strengthening Milagros' presence within the San Luis Valley community.
Helping the coffee house continue to grow while supporting La Puente's mission.

We're Looking For Someone Who Has

Previous supervisory or management experience in hospitality, food service, retail, or another customer-focused environment.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
High integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
A passion for serving the community and supporting others.
The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

ServSafe Manager Certification is required within 30 days of hire (training provided if needed).
