This is a civilian position that works for a 501(c)3 non-profit that supports the Air Force Academy. This position does not require military service or graduation from the United States Air Force Academy.

THE OVERVIEW
The Association and Foundation, in support of the Academy, seeks a highly skilled and detail oriented professional to serve as the Executive Assistant to the Executive Vice President (?EVP?) of Alumni Relations and support to the Association of Graduates Board of Directors.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Report to the EVP of Alumni Relations
- Understand, uphold, and promote the ethical standards and core values of the Academy, and the Association & Foundation
- Learn and understand how the Association & Foundation interacts with the Academy and other Academy-related nonprofit organizations that support various areas of the Academy
- Manage a complex meeting and travel schedule for the EVP, and coordinate meetings with internal and external parties; prepare presentation materials and provide information regarding the meeting and/or the persons involved in the meeting that is deemed important
- Oversee and coordinate support of the Association of Graduates Board of Directors and their committees through coordination of meetings, handling logistics of board meetings, sending materials for review prior to the meetings, participating in meetings, taking and/or distributing notes and fielding general queries from board members
- Support the Class Advisory Senate (CAS) in their representation of individual USAFA classes
- Drive and project manage strategic Division initiatives such as operating and strategic plans, alongside the Senior Leadership Team
- Provide a broad level of administrative support to the EVP; tasks include, but are not limited to, preparing and sending correspondence, preparing and submitting budget reports, maintaining office files with sensitive information, copyediting, and entering activity into the Association & Foundation databases
- Act as curator, time-advocate, and liaison for the EVP
- Organize the EVP?s communications, including emails and presentations
- Organize the EVP's travel (flights, hotels, ground transportation, etc.)
- Maintain the coordination of the Alumni Relations Team regular meeting schedule and communications
- Act with a high degree of independence as liaison with inside and outside contacts and prepare materials, minutes, updates, and other support functions
- Support the Executive Assistant to the CEO in their management and coordination of CEO and organization-wide activities, in support of the Joint Strategic Plan
- Prioritize conflicting needs, handle matters expeditiously, proactively, and follow-through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures
- Provide additional administrative support and customer service to members of Alumni relations team, in support of the EVP, as able
- Keep abreast of Air Force, USAFA and departmental priorities, programs, personalities, and events
- Perform other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Experience maintaining corporate documents
- Highly skilled and competent in Microsoft Office suite of programs (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint, and Outlook)
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and track multiple ongoing tasks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality, perform duties with utmost discretion, and act with complete integrity
- Ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships with all constituents
- Ability to deal with non-routine matters and special projects with minimum instruction and make sound decisions within the scope of authority
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality, error-free materials
- Willingness to learn from others and be flexible when needed
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of experience providing high-level administrative support to executive-level staff
- Significant department or office management experience
- Board of Directors support/liaison experience
- A valid driver?s license and any related insurance is required
- An ability to pass a DBIDS Background check for which are required to maintain access to the Association and Foundation?s principal offices on the Academy
- Individuals with service in the military, especially the U.S. Air Force, will be given strong consideration
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The salary range for this position is $66,000 - $70,000. Salary depends on relevant experience and new staff rarely start at the top of the range. The Association & Foundation offers a competitive benefits package for full-time employees including but not limited to:

Employees are expected to work from the office location Monday through Thursday and have the option to work remotely on Fridays.
