Full Job Description

Step into a meaningful contract opportunity as a School Social Worker in the vibrant Colorado Springs area. This essential role focuses on supporting elementary-aged students and fostering a positive, inclusive school environment. You'll have the chance to make a real difference by addressing students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs throughout the academic year.

Key Qualifications:

Valid SSW (School Social Worker) license
Current CDE (Colorado Department of Education) license
Previous experience supporting elementary students preferred
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to handle confidential situations with professionalism and empathy
Organizational skills to manage multiple priorities across sites

Primary Responsibilities:

Work closely with 1-2 elementary schools, serving students from diverse backgrounds
Provide direct support services, such as counseling, crisis intervention, and group work
Collaborate with administrators, teachers, and families to support student success
Assess students’ needs and develop individualized intervention plans
Lead initiatives that promote social-emotional learning and positive behavior
Maintain clear documentation of services, interventions, and outcomes
Support a safe, affirming school culture for all children

This full-time contract runs from early September through the end of the school year, allowing you to build lasting relationships and help students thrive. You'll be based at one or two locations, creating familiarity and making a sustained impact within these communities.
