Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate, attentive, and lifestyle-aligned Live-In Caregiver to support an 89-year-old gentleman in his private home. This role is ideal for someone who embraces a holistic, natural approach to wellness and daily living, with a strong preference for organic nutrition, non-toxic environments, and alternative health practices.

The caregiver will provide personalized assistance with activities of daily living while fostering a supportive, and health-conscious environment that aligns with the client’s preference for natural, non-conventional care. This position requires emotional intelligence, respect for client autonomy, and a proactive, wellness-oriented mindset.

Lodging and food is provided as part of this live-in role.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
Prepare nutritious meals using organic, whole, and minimally processed ingredients in alignment with the client’s dietary preferences
Support a holistic lifestyle by incorporating natural wellness practices such as herbal remedies, gentle movement, mindfulness, and other non-invasive approaches (as appropriate and within your scope)
Provide companionship and emotional support, encouraging a calm, positive, and engaging home environment
Assist with mobility, light stretching, and safe physical activity
Maintain a clean, non-toxic, and organized living space (light housekeeping duties)
Observe and document general wellness changes (energy levels, appetite, mood, mobility) and communicate updates to designated family members
Provide transportation for errands, appointments (non-medical), and outings as needed
Respect and uphold the client’s preference for minimal involvement with conventional medical systems

Qualifications

Previous experience in elder care, in-home caregiving, or a related field
Strong alignment with holistic, natural, and wellness-focused lifestyles (e.g., organic nutrition, herbal remedies, non-toxic living)
Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently and adapt to the client’s preferences and routines
Physically able to assist with mobility and daily activities
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Preferred (but not required):

Background or interest in holistic health, nutrition, herbalism, or wellness practices
Experience with live-in caregiving arrangements
Training in yoga, meditation, or similar supportive wellness practices

Pay: $22.78 - $27.44 per hour
