Pay: $18–$20/hour
Schedule: 30–40 hours per week

About Peak Pickleball

Peak Pickleball is a premier indoor pickleball facility focused on creating a welcoming, energetic, organized, and community-driven sports experience. We are building programs that introduce new people to the sport, create confidence for first-time guests, and drive consistent participation through classes, clinics, events, leagues, camps, and community programming.

Position Summary

Peak Pickleball is hiring a high-energy, organized, people-focused Sports Program Coordinator / Program Director to help build and manage one of our most important growth programs: Peak Pickleball University, also known as PPU.

This is a strong opportunity for someone interested in sports management, recreation programming, athletics, hospitality, events, customer experience, operations, or community engagement. Pickleball experience is helpful, but it is not required. The right candidate must be able to organize programs, communicate clearly, drive participation, support instructors, and help turn first-time visitors into returning guests.

What This Role Is Really About

This role is about building a sports program that gets people into the facility, makes them feel welcome, and gives them a clear reason to come back. The most important entry point is Intro to Pickleball. This beginner experience grows Peak’s guest and client base, introduces new people to the sport, and feeds future participation in classes, clinics, open play, leagues, memberships, events, and community programs.

The right person will treat Intro to Pickleball as a growth engine, not just a class. Participation does not happen by accident. It takes promotion, organization, follow-up, energy, and consistent guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

Program Coordination and Execution

Plan, organize, and manage beginner programs, classes, clinics, events, leagues, and guest-facing activities.
Coordinate schedules, instructor needs, court usage, registrations, rosters, attendance, and guest communication.
Make sure programs are staffed, promoted, organized, and ready to begin on time.
Create repeatable systems so program details do not fall through the cracks.

Participation Growth and Follow-Up

Increase participation in Intro to Pickleball and related programs.
Help convert first-time guests into returning participants, members, league players, clinic participants, and long-term customers.
Follow up with guests after programs and guide them to the next appropriate opportunity.
Track attendance, no-shows, waitlists, class capacity, feedback, and participation trends.

Guest Experience, Promotion, and Operations

Create a welcoming, upbeat, professional experience for guests, especially people trying pickleball for the first time.
Greet participants, answer questions, explain next steps, and support smooth program flow.
Support class descriptions, email follow-up, flyers, social media ideas, event announcements, and internal staff communication.
Maintain basic program reporting and help leadership identify what is working, what needs improvement, and where participation can grow.

Revenue and Business Growth

Support revenue growth through classes, clinics, events, camps, leagues, private lessons, corporate outings, school partnerships, and community programs.
Bring practical ideas for filling classes, improving retention, creating new programs, and strengthening financial performance.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is not necessarily the best pickleball player in the building. The ideal candidate is a strong organizer, communicator, and builder who enjoys sports environments and knows how to create a great guest experience.

High-energy, positive, professional, dependable, and organized.
Interested in sports, recreation, athletics, fitness, hospitality, events, customer experience, or sports management.
Able to manage schedules, details, people, and moving pieces without constant supervision.
Comfortable speaking with guests and making new participants feel welcome.
Strong follow-through and ability to solve problems before they become bigger issues.
Team-oriented, coachable, and willing to help build something from the ground up.

Required Qualifications

Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work 30-40 hours per week, including some evenings, weekends, events, and tournaments as needed.
Interest in sports, recreation, hospitality, events, fitness, athletics, or community programming.
Ability to manage schedules, registrations, guest communication, rosters, follow-up, and program details.
Comfort working with guests, students, families, staff, instructors, and community partners.
Positive, professional, team-first attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

Background in sports management, recreation, hospitality, education, fitness, events, athletics, operations, sales, or customer experience.
Experience coordinating programs, classes, camps, clinics, leagues, events, teams, or customer-facing services.
Experience with scheduling systems, spreadsheets, registration platforms, customer tracking, or basic reporting.
Experience increasing participation, attendance, retention, enrollment, or customer engagement.
Pickleball, tennis, racquet sports, or general athletics experience is helpful, but not required.

Great follow-up helps them become regular guests, members, league players, clinic participants, and advocates for Peak Pickleball. This role helps grow the sport, grow the business, and create a better guest experience.
