Full Job Description

GRITT Business Coaching has been contracted to find the ideal Accounting Manager for Alliance Water Resouces.

For candidates with long-term career aspirations in financial leadership, this role offers meaningful exposure to executive-level decision-making and could evolve in scope as the organization grows.

We're seeking a meticulous and disciplined Accounting Manager who thrives in a stable environment, values consistency, and brings a deep sense of responsibility to their work. This position offers a strong framework, clear expectations, and an opportunity to lead with technical expertise while being a key part of our finance team.

What You’ll Do

Manage daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, receivable, and financial reporting.
Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements for both parent and client entities.
Maintain the company’s fixed asset system and perform reconciliations.
Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, tax filings, and benefit-related accounting entries.
Oversee the preparation of IRS forms, W-2s, 1099s, and assist with audits and compliance.
Guide a small accounting team with precision, clarity, and expectations grounded in procedure.
Coordinate 401(k) plan submissions, testing, and audit schedules.
Maintain compliance with internal controls and company policies.

Your Strengths and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Minimum 5 years of accounting experience
Strong proficiency in Excel and accounting software (prior experience with payroll uploads and journal entries required)
Deep knowledge of accounting principles, payroll tax laws, and audit preparation
Ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all financial matters
Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
Valid driver’s license
