The purpose of this job is to analyze energy consumption, policies, markets, and funding opportunities to support cost savings, improve efficiency, and advance sustainability goals. This position conducts advanced data analysis, energy audits, and resource planning to support utility initiatives. The Energy Analyst also manages utility grant activities, including identifying funding opportunities, preparing grant applications, monitoring grant compliance, and submitting required reports.

- Collaborates with leadership to identify and develop solutions that support strategic goals and objectives.

Conducts cost-benefit analyses, feasibility studies, and business case evaluations, and provides recommendations on the financial and operational impacts of proposed utility projects, initiatives, and energy resources.

Administers utility grant programs by identifying funding opportunities, preparing grant applications, coordinating with departments, ensuring compliance with grant requirements, maintaining records, submitting required reports, and completing grant closeout activities.

Conducts site assessments, analyzes energy market trends and regulatory requirements, performs evaluation, measurement, and verification (EM&V) of utility programs, and develops analytical models to support the planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of energy conservation programs.

Conducts research and monitors developments in energy markets, regulations, resources, and emerging technologies to support utility planning, decision-making, and program development.

Collaborates with federal, state, and local agencies, peer organizations, and City departments to support utility programs, processes, goals, and reporting requirements.

Supports utility service programs including outreach and education efforts, serving as a key account contact, analyzing renewable energy opportunities, and assisting with program administration.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Science, Engineering, or related field.

3 to 5 years’ experience in utility operations, data analysis, grant management, or related field.
Licenses or Certifications.
