Location: This role is primarily in-person to support active court appearances and client work — with the added perk of regular remote flexibility. Our associates typically work from home 1 to 2 days per week on a floating schedule, giving you meaningful work-life balance without sacrificing courtroom access.

Note: This role requires at least 1 to 2 years of civil litigation experience. Candidates must be licensed to practice law and have a working knowledge of the litigation process from inception through resolution, including court appearances and motion practice.

Job description

Represent clients across the full civil litigation lifecycle — discovery, depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial
Conduct thorough legal research and craft case strategies that actually move the needle
Draft sharp, well-reasoned pleadings, motions, and briefs
Manage discovery requests and responses with precision and timeliness
Interview clients and witnesses to build compelling, fact-driven case narratives
Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution
Argue motions before judges and appear in court on behalf of clients

Qualifications

JD from an accredited law school and an MO active bar admission.
1+ years of civil litigation experience (firm, in-house, or solo practice considered)
Strong legal writing and drafting skills — you write clearly and persuasively
Comfortable managing multiple matters and deadlines simultaneously
Courtroom experience preferred; motivated, court-ready attorneys at all experience levels encouraged to apply
Excellent legal research skills and sound analytical judgment
