Full Job Description

SmileCare is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial records and support the financial operations of a dental practice. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, is highly organized, and values accuracy and confidentiality.

Position Details:

· Part-Time Bookkeeper

· Approximately 10 hours per week (flexible schedule)

· Location: SmileCare, northeast Columbia

· Pay Rate: $22 - $27 per hour, based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

· Record and categorize all income and expenses.

· Payables: Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments. Complete required bank fraud protections procedures.

· Payroll: Submit bi-weekly payroll hours to online payroll service. Complete onboarding paperwork for new employees and temporary staff. Maintain employee vacation & sick leave records. Process biweekly online IRA contributions.

· Prepare monthly reports for the CPA and dental practice consultant.

· Assist the doctor with administrative projects as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

· Previous bookkeeping or general accounting experience required.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

· Comfortable learning new accounting and dental practice management software (training provided).

· Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

· Ability to handle confidential financial and payroll information with professionalism and discretion.

· Dependable, self-motivated, and able to manager responsibilities independently.
