Our Culture and Community team builds meaningful connections between our brands and the communities we serve.
POSITION OVERVIEW
Built Different Brands is hiring a Culture and Community Coordinator to support our 53 Marco’s Pizza locations across Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida. This is a boots-on-the-ground, community-facing role responsible for local store marketing and driving grassroots community engagement. This position will play a critical role in launching and executing Operation: Mayor of Your Mile, an initiative designed to help our General Managers and their stores become the go-to destination for families in their local area.
This role is based in Columbia, South Carolina, with up to 60% travel to Marco’s Pizza locations throughout.
Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida. Some evening and weekend availability is required, based on event and store activation schedules. Travel reimbursement provided in accordance with company policy.
Discretionary performance-based bonus eligibility.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Local Store Marketing
- Partner with Marco’s Pizza General Managers to develop and execute local store marketing strategies that increase visibility, foot traffic, and community goodwill.
- Support the rollout of Operation: Mayor of Your Mile across assigned Marco’s Pizza locations, helping General Managers position their stores as trusted neighborhood destinations.
- Track and report on the effectiveness of local marketing and community engagement efforts.
- Track sponsorship dollars, event costs, and outcomes of Spirit Nights and other school fundraising events.
- Capture content from local store marketing events that can later be posted on Marco’s Pizza Southeast social media accounts.
Community and School Partnerships
- Build and maintain relationships with local schools to coordinate Spirit Nights and other school fundraising events.
- Identify and cultivate partnerships with nonprofit organizations and local businesses for co-branded events, sponsorships, and charitable giveback opportunities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between Marco’s Pizza locations and community organizations throughout Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida.
Event Support and Execution
- Plan and support the execution of community events, giveback nights, grand openings, and other local activations.
- Coordinate event logistics, including scheduling, materials, vendors, and on-site support.
- Represent Built Different Brands and Marco’s Pizza professionally at community events and networking opportunities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Marco’s Pizza Operations and General Managers to align community initiatives with broader company objectives.
- Provide regular updates on community engagement activity, partnership development, event outcomes, and local store marketing performance.
- Serve as the point person for coordinating all UGC/influencer visits to Marco’s Pizza locations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- One to three years of experience in marketing, community relations, event coordination, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to represent the brand professionally in community settings.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple relationships, projects, and events simultaneously.
- Comfortable with up to 60% travel throughout Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida.
- Self-starter who thrives working independently with minimal day-to-day supervision.
- Passion for community engagement, local marketing, and building genuine relationships.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

- Consistent execution of local marketing initiatives that strengthen Marco’s Pizza’s presence in each community.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to lift, carry, and move marketing materials, event supplies, and promotional equipment weighing up to 30 pounds.
- Must be able to load and unload event materials from a vehicle.
- Must be able to remain on feet and stand or walk for extended periods during events and store visits.
- Must be able to work in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to seasonal weather conditions.
- Must be able to travel by car for extended periods.
