Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality and Health & Safety Manager to oversee and enhance our organization’s safety protocols and quality assurance processes. This role is vital in ensuring compliance with industry standards, fostering a safe working environment, and maintaining the highest quality standards across manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, Workers' Compensation Law, and Occupational Health practices, along with excellent report writing and root cause analysis skills. This position offers an opportunity to lead training & development initiatives, implement safety programs, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Quality and Food Safety:

Evaluate and improve current quality and food safety SOPs on the production floor.
Lead regular trainings with production team to ensure compliance with procedures.
Conitnuously monitor against set KPIs.
Lead a team of quality operators on the floor.
Ensure all quality tools are being maintained and calibrated on a regular basis.
Work with commercial team on complaints in the market, and conduct root cause analyses to improve quality processes in production.
Continuously improve Food Safety on the plant floor, and address non-conformances.

Vendor Approval and Incoming Control:

Work closely with Technical team to approve new vendors.
Review and improve incoming control SOPs.
Devise and maintain a methodology to effectively store all incoming control data, and movement of materials to ensure full traceability in production.
Evaluate performance of vendors through data gathered from incoming controls.

Trial Management:

Work closely with Technical and Production team to manage new product trials.
Approve or deny commercial production based on success of trials against QC data.
Devise and closely monitor quality SOPs of new products introduced in the factory.
Lead the group on ISO 9001 and 22000 Compliance.
Evaluate and improve processes and documentation to remain ISO compliant.
Manage regular audits as per ISO standard.
Drive continuous improvement to support ISO compliance.
Work closely with Plant Manager to create and implement Safety SOPs.
Devise and implement methods to document near miss, high potential, and incident reports.
Lead a committee to devise action plans and resources to support safety on the premises.
Be a safety leader through communication and training.

Experience

5+ years experience managing Quality in Manufacturing Plants.
3+ years experience in ISO9001 and 22000 standards. Certification and audit experience preferred.
Proven track record of revamping quality processes and enforcing strict compliance in plants.
Comfortable interacting with customers regarding quality discussions.
Proactive leader able to identify shortcomings and drive change.

Pay: $75,000.00 per year
