Qualifications:
- Graduated with B.Arch or M.Arch from an accredited Architecture program
- 4+ years of work experience with an emphasis on residential projects
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, 3D modeling (SketchUp), Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members on several projects at a time
- Attention to detail and good organizational skills
- Good verbal, written, and graphic communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
Architectural Designer is needed to perform the following duties:
· Perform field measurements on site using laser measurements and other tools
· Preparing initial survey drawings using software like AutoCAD and Revit.
· Preparing initial feasibility study reports.
· Using AutoCAD for drafting building plans, elevation, sections, and construction details.
· Using 3D software like Sketchup, Rhinoceros and plugins like Enscape for 3D modelling.
· Using graphic software like Adobe Creative Suite for creating building renders.
· Creating drawing sets for all the stages from schematic design phase to design development followed by preparing a full constructions drawing set.
· Prepare drawing set for DOB (Department of Buildings) filing or application for building permits.
· Coordinating with other agencies like MEP for incorporating their drawing in the DOB filing set.
· Research on different construction materials and reach out to vendors for implementing better technologies for the new construction.
· Research on passive house technologies to make the building performance less energy intensive.
· Research on sustainable materials and methods for making the new construction more efficient and self-sustaining.
· Research on energy benchmarking of buildings and developing methodology for violation removal for existing buildings and new construction.
· Creating proposal for clients for new ground-up construction, renovation, retrofits, Interior designing, DOB filling, Alteration applications, violation removal, and energy benchmarking.
· Doing preliminary design study and conceptual design development for clients
· Producing exterior as well as interior renderings of the conceptual design for client presentation.
· Making 3D walkthrough for clients.
· Using graphic software like adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign etc. to create graphic images
· Making graphical representation for marketing purposes.
· Updating the company website with all the graphic images on regular basis.
· Conducting and attending client meetings, making client-facing presentations, understanding their requirements and providing and drafting proposal based on the same.
· Recording minutes of the meeting.
· Communicating on regular basis with clients, contractors, vendors and other related agencies.
· Conducting site visits to monitor progress and identify any potential problems
· Communicating with clients, contractors, and subcontractors
· Resolving construction issues
· Reviewing and approving construction documents
A bachelor's degree is required in Architecture
