Overview

Join our dynamic property management team as an Assistant Property Manager, where you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of residential communities. This energetic position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with experienced professionals, enhance tenant satisfaction, and ensure smooth property management processes. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help create welcoming, well-maintained living environments for residents while fostering positive relationships with clients and vendors.

Responsibilities

Assist in managing lease or rental agreement processes, including tenant onboarding, renewals, and move-outs.
Support property maintenance coordination by liaising with vendors and overseeing work orders to ensure timely repairs.
Utilize property management tools such as Yardi and OneSite to maintain accurate records of rent payments, tenant information, and property data.
Handle client communication with professionalism via phone, email, and in person, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Contribute to budgeting efforts by tracking expenses and assisting with financial reporting related to property operations.
Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, Landlord-Tenant Law, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and Section 8 guidelines.
Support conflict management efforts by mediating tenant concerns and fostering positive community relations.
Maintain organized filing systems for contracts, legal documents, and administrative records while performing data entry and administrative tasks efficiently.

Requirements

Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles, with familiarity using Yardi, OneSite, or similar property management software.
Strong knowledge of Landlord-Tenant Law, Fair Housing regulations, LIHTC programs, and Section 8 housing policies.
Excellent customer service skills paired with professional phone etiquette and client relationship management abilities.
Demonstrated ability to manage lease agreements, contracts, and rental documentation accurately.
Experience in conflict resolution, negotiation, and team management within a property management environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for reporting and correspondence.
Office experience combined with facilities management knowledge is preferred.
Ability to handle multiple priorities effectively while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
