Full Job Description

Assignment Overview

Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs
Hours: 36 hrs/wk
Start Date: Sep 28, 2026
Length: 13 weeks

Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a multimodality role in the Emergency Department/Urgent Care setting, requiring at least 1 year of CT experience and ARRT (CT) certification.

Details

Multimodality Tech position covering CT and X-Ray, may include other duties to assist with operations within the ED/UC
Adult acute care and outpatient Emergency Department setting
3x12 hour night shifts (7:00 PM-7:00 AM), Friday-Monday, scheduled in any combination within that window
Weekend shifts required depending on established schedule
No on-call requirement
No floating between units or sister facilities required
Uses Epic charting system
Uses Siemens equipment

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of CT experience required
BLS, ARRT (CT), ARRT (R), and SCRQSA (R) certifications required
License required if applicable
Epic charting experience preferred
Radiation badge required, must be provided by the traveler's agency
Proficiency in image display and post-processing including 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and ROI measurement preferred
Experience with abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine/musculoskeletal, and chest CT studies
Experience with contrast media preparation and administration
Skilled in radiation safety, isolation precautions/PPE, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture
Driver's license and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

Perform CT and X-ray imaging studies including abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine/musculoskeletal, and chest procedures
Support ED/UC operations as needed within scope of practice
First-time travelers may be considered depending on position needs
Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
Local candidates accepted on a case-by-case basis; non-local candidates are prioritized
60-mile radius rule applies for local candidate consideration
All requested time off must be submitted at time of application for consideration
Traveler may only be submitted to one MUSC facility or unit at a time
Facility located in a hurricane-prone region; employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June-November, peak August-September)
Scrub colors are black and teal
Free parking provided with pass distributed at start date
