Full Job Description

The Lead Burn Ambassador (Lead BA) plays a vital leadership role in the success of Burn Boot Camp by ensuring exceptional client experiences while overseeing the day-to-day performance of the Burn Ambassador team. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Lead BA serves as the primary leader for the front-of-house team, providing coaching, guidance, accountability, and operational support to ensure consistency in service, sales, and member engagement.

As the first point of contact for members and prospective clients, the Lead BA sets the standard for hospitality and professionalism while fostering a welcoming, energetic environment that reflects the Burn Boot Camp culture. This role combines leadership, client experience, operational excellence, and sales performance to drive membership growth and strengthen the gym community.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Team Leadership:

Lead, coach, and support the Burn Ambassador team in delivering exceptional customer service and operational excellence.
Provide daily direction, training, and mentorship to ensure team members understand and execute front desk expectations.
Assist the Operations Manager with onboarding and training new Burn Ambassadors.
Monitor team performance and provide ongoing coaching to improve client experience, sales, and operational consistency.
Coordinate daily BA scheduling, task assignments, and shift coverage as directed by the Operations Manager.
Serve as the first point of contact for BA questions, operational issues, and day-to-day problem solving.
Communicate operational updates, promotions, and priorities to the BA team while reinforcing company standards.
Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable team culture.

Client Experience:

Deliver an exceptional welcome experience for every prospective and existing client.
Greet members and guests, provide facility tours, introduce clients to trainers, complete Mindbody enrollment, obtain signed waivers, and distribute all necessary onboarding materials.
Build meaningful relationships with members to create a welcoming and supportive community.
Resolve client concerns professionally and escalate issues to the Operations Manager when appropriate.
Gather client feedback and communicate trends, opportunities, and concerns to leadership.

Operations:

Oversee daily front-of-house operations to ensure smooth, efficient facility performance.
Manage Mindbody memberships, account maintenance, trial client workflows, focus meetings, retail transactions, and membership sales.
Answer phones, respond to location emails, and ensure timely communication with members and prospects.
Maintain organization of the client drop zone, towels, retail displays, and reception area.
Ensure completion of opening and closing procedures and maintain facility cleanliness according to Burn Boot Camp standards.
Promptly communicate facility, maintenance, and supply needs to the Operations Manager.
Ensure accuracy of client records and adherence to operational procedures.

Sales & Business Growth:

Lead the BA team in converting trial members into committed memberships.
Partner with trainers and leadership to maximize the overall client experience and improve conversion rates.
Promote memberships, retail products, challenges, special events, and community initiatives.
Support achievement of location sales goals through consistent follow-up, relationship building, and exceptional service.
Monitor front desk performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
Previous customer service and sales experience required.
Previous leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience preferred.
Experience in the fitness, health, or wellness industry is preferred.
Ability to work independently while successfully leading a team.
Proficiency with Mindbody or similar membership management software is preferred.
Comfortable learning new technology and maintaining accurate records.

A successful Lead Burn Ambassador consistently creates an outstanding member experience, develops a high-performing Burn Ambassador team, maintains operational excellence, and partners closely with the Operations Manager to drive membership growth, team engagement, and the overall success of the Burn Boot Camp location.
