Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Sous Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. In this energetic role, you will support the Executive Chef in leading kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, and maintaining a lively, efficient work environment. Your expertise will help elevate our dining experience, foster team collaboration, and uphold the highest standards of food safety and sanitation. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a culinary professional eager to showcase leadership skills in a fast-paced, fine dining setting.

Duties

Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and motivation to ensure high performance and teamwork
Manage inventory control and food production to minimize waste and optimize costs while maintaining quality standards
Ensure strict adherence to food safety sanitizing procedures and hygiene regulations across all kitchen areas
Coordinate menu planning and ensure timely execution of dishes during service periods, including catering and banquet events
Monitor shift management to maintain smooth workflow during busy hours and special events
Lead by example in serving guests with professionalism and hospitality, fostering a positive dining atmosphere

Qualifications

Proven experience in fine dining environments with strong culinary skills and leadership capabilities
Extensive banquet experience combined with catering and restaurant management expertise
Demonstrated supervising experience within a high-volume kitchen setting
Knowledge of dietary department requirements and food handling safety protocols
Strong background in food service management, inventory management, and cost control strategies
Skilled in food preparation, cooking techniques, menu planning, and kitchen management
Familiarity with food safety sanitizing procedures, inventory control systems, and kitchen equipment operation
Excellent team management abilities with a focus on motivating staff and maintaining high standards of hospitality
Previous experience managing shifts effectively while ensuring quality service during peak hours
