Full Job Description

Join Acom Integrated Solutions as an Inside Sales Representative!

This is a high-activity outbound sales position focused on generating new business through phone-based prospecting, appointment setting, and direct sales. You’ll work a defined territory, manage the lead database, and be the first voice prospects hear from Acom.

You won’t just set appointments, you’ll identify opportunities, qualify decision-makers, and in many cases, close deals directly over the phone. You’ll also assist in building and maintaining the lead database that fuels the pipeline.

Key Responsibilities:

Outbound Dialing: Execute a high volume of outbound calls daily to prospective and current commercial customers with the goal of setting qualified appointments and generating direct sales.
Appointment Setting: Identify and engage the right decision-makers, communicate Acom’s value clearly, and book meetings for outside sales or close directly when appropriate.
Lead Database Management: Assist in sourcing, organizing, and maintaining prospect data to ensure a healthy and accurate pipeline.
Product Presentation: Present Acom’s fire, security, and life safety solutions over the phone with confidence and clarity tailored to each prospect’s business.
Relationship Building: Establish trust with prospects and customers through consistent follow-up and a consultative approach.
Issue Resolution: Address customer concerns proactively and escalate or resolve issues quickly to protect and strengthen the customer relationship.
Team Support: Step in where needed across customer service, operations, and other internal teams to keep things moving and support the broader organization.

Self-Motivation: You don’t need a manager standing over you; you own your numbers and go after them.
Strong Phone Presence:Comfortable making a high volume of calls; you’re confident, clear, and professional whether you’re talking to a receptionist or a facilities director.
Communication Skills: You can read a conversation, pivot your approach, and build rapport quickly.
Analytical Mindset: You listen for pain points, ask the right questions, and recommend solutions that actually fit.
Attention to Detail: Accurate notes, clean CRM records, and professional follow-through in every interaction.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged sitting at a desk while using a computer and making phone calls.
Ability to efficiently operate job-related office equipment.
Ability to communicate effectively via telephone and work with virtual teams.
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment, both in-office and remotely.

Qualifications:

Experience: B2B or phone sales experience preferred. Fire, security, or life safety background is a plus but not required.
Etiquette: Minimum 1 year of experience in professional phone etiquette
Inside Sales: Minimum 2 years of experience in inside sales.
