Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist Toolmaker to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, fabricating, and maintaining precision tooling and fixtures used in CNC machining processes. Your expertise will ensure the production of high-quality components by creating accurate, durable, and efficient tools. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing equipment, contribute to innovative projects, and uphold the highest standards of craftsmanship and precision. Monday - Thursday 7am-4:30 PM and Fridays 7-11am.

Duties

Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and CAD models using AutoCAD and SolidWorks to develop tooling designs.
Program CNC machines, including lathes and milling centers, utilizing CAM programming techniques to produce precise tooling components.
Operate CNC equipment such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and electrical discharge machining (EDM) machines to fabricate tooling parts.
Use precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and dial gauges to inspect parts for accuracy and adherence to specifications.
Fabricate tools through welding, fabrication techniques, and assembly processes to meet manufacturing requirements.
Maintain detailed documentation of tooling designs, schematics, and machining processes for quality control and future reference.
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to troubleshoot tooling issues and optimize machining operations for efficiency and quality.

Qualifications

Proven experience with CNC programming, operation of CNC milling machines and lathes.
Strong mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing processes, tooling fabrication, and machining techniques.
Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD for designing tooling components.
Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards for precise measurements and quality assurance.
Skilled in using hand tools, precision measuring instruments like micrometers and calipers, and schematic reading.
Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately.
Excellent math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machining parameters.
