Significant Duties and Responsibilities include: Partner with the Director to implement the Center for Career Coaching Strategic Plan 2025-2028, including priorities related to foundation building, expansion and embedding, and institutionalization of career readiness across the student experience.; Lead, supervise, and develop two to three full-time Career Success Coaches and student workers by establishing shared expectations, coaching practices, performance goals, and professional development aligned with the Career Center staff competency framework.; Serve as the primary Career Center liaison to assigned academic colleges and programs, collaborating with faculty, Academic Success Coaches, staff, and administrators to embed career readiness into courses, coaching conversations, capstones, student success initiatives, and co-curricular experiences.; Develop, revise, and deliver scalable career education content aligned with the Center's student learning outcomes: Career Design, Articulation, Connections, Launch a Campaign, and Professionalism.; Design modular, adaptable career learning resources, classroom presentations, reflection activities, and assignments that help students connect academic and experiential learning to career readiness competencies and long-term goals.; Coordinate and strengthen experiential learning systems, including internships for academic credit, externships, apprenticeships, service-learning, research, employer projects, and funding processes that support student participation in high-impact experiences.; Help implement and continuously improve the internship registration and tracking process, ensuring consistent use by academic units and accurate reporting of student participation, employer partners, and learning outcomes.; Oversee and support Cougar Career Connections and other alumni mentoring initiatives that connect students with mutually supportive relationships, career insight, and professional networks.; Cultivate strategic, reciprocal employer and alumni partnerships that support internships, externships, career fairs, career treks, mentoring, employer-led projects, and workforce-aligned learning opportunities for assigned academic areas.; Assist the Director in establishing and supporting an Employer Advisory Board and other mechanisms for gathering employer insight, strengthening workforce alignment, and expanding opportunities for CSU students.; Support the development of a Career Champions Network and faculty/staff professional development efforts, including the NACE Skills Infusion Program and resources that equip campus partners to reinforce career readiness wherever students learn and engage.; Leverage Handshake, uConnect, JobScan, Steppingblocks, LinkedIn, Banner, and other technologies to increase student engagement, provide 24/7 access to career resources, track participation, and improve the student experience.; Use data to identify participation gaps, assess learning outcomes, evaluate programming, inform resource allocation, and support evidence-based decisions related to student engagement, experiential learning, and career outcomes.; Contribute to the Center's Impact Report, First Destination Survey reporting, and other outcome narratives by collecting, analyzing, and communicating data with context by college, major, experience type, employer, and student population as appropriate.; Incorporate continuing and professional education skills certifications, micro-credentials, and other career accelerators into coaching conversations, classroom presentations, and experiential learning preparation and reflection.; Provide individual and group career coaching for students and alumni in areas including career exploration, career narrative development, networking, LinkedIn, resumes and cover letters, interviewing, professionalism, and job or graduate school search strategy.; Maintain a positive, proactive, student-centered, and highly professional work style that reflects CSU and USG values and advances the Center's role in student success, retention, employability, and long-term alumni success.
