Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Restaurant Shift Leader and take charge of delivering exceptional dining experiences! In this energetic role, you will oversee daily restaurant operations, motivate and manage staff, ensure top-notch customer service, and maintain food safety standards. Your leadership will drive efficiency, foster teamwork, and uphold the restaurant’s reputation for quality and hospitality. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop managerial skills while working in a fast-paced, friendly environment where every shift counts.

Duties

Lead and supervise restaurant staff during your shift, ensuring smooth operations from food prep to customer service.
Oversee food preparation, cooking, and food handling to maintain high standards of quality and safety.
Manage POS system Shift4 for accurate order processing, cash handling, and transaction reconciliation.
Control inventory levels by monitoring stock, conducting regular audits, and assisting with food management and ordering.
Train new team members on food safety procedures, customer service protocols, and operational tasks to promote a well-trained workforce.
Ensure compliance with health regulations, food safety standards, and cleanliness requirements across the restaurant.
Handle customer inquiries or complaints promptly to ensure a positive dining experience that encourages repeat visits.

Experience

Proven experience in quick service or Fine Dining restaurant environments with a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling.
Previous supervisory or team management roles within hospitality or restaurant settings are highly desirable.
Familiarity with POS systems such as Shift4 POS for efficient transaction processing.
Experience in inventory control, budgeting, profit & loss analysis, and food safety management is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively through training & development initiatives and managerial communication skills.
Background in culinary arts or fine dining environments enhances your ability to manage diverse food production needs.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask during busy shifts while maintaining high standards of service.
