Position Summary
NOTE: CHATTAHOOCHEE VALLEY COMMUNITY COLLEGE OBSERVES EASTERN TIME.
Under the general direction of the Testing Coordinator and the Associate Dean of Student Development and Success, the employee provides support to the College's Testing Center and is the initial point of contact for test administration and scheduling.
Salary: Appropriate placement on Salary Schedule: E5 06 ($31,125-$48,180), which is based on years of directly related full-time experience.

Verification of experience (employment) will be required after the interview process and prior to an offer of employment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
2. Administer Accuplacer Placement Testing.
3. Serve as an alternate examiner, organizing and conducting GED testing.
4. Assist appropriate divisions with scheduling and coordinating various tests offered through the College’s Testing Center.
5. Ensure examinees have complied with all testing requirements.
6. Assist with tracking Testing Center service utilization and provide reports as needed.
7. Complete required training in order to stay in compliance with National Testing Center Guidelines.
8. Satisfactorily perform with minimal errors routine clerical duties to support the administration of the Testing Center, including emailing, typing, filing, copying, faxing, and answering the telephone.
9. Appropriately greet and receive visitors to the office; determine nature of their visit and/or request; route request to appropriate individual.
10. Assist students as needed with scheduling appointments to meet with advisors for registration and counseling after testing; ensure advisors receive the appropriate test results.
11. Maintain inventory of office supplies and order replacement supplies as needed.
12. Maintain, update, and amend records of departmental expenditures to ensure compliance with budget.
13. Maintain calendar for scheduled meetings; ensure that the requested materials and equipment are present for the meetings.
14. Edit outgoing correspondence for accuracy and content.
15. Ensure all documents and records are appropriately filed.
16. Assist with training part-time employees and work-study students in the operations and procedures for the Testing Center.
17. Answer department telephone; route calls to appropriate individual or handle requests as needed; record and distribute messages.
18. Provide information regarding student registration process, programs of study and degrees offered at the College.
19. Run reports as requested.
20. Know, understand, and comply with state and federal laws, including FERPA and the Students First Act.
21. Perform other duties as assigned.

6. Maintain appropriate work hours as outlined in State and College policies and as assigned by supervisor or dean.
7. Recruit potential students, both traditional and nontraditional, to the College, and assist in retention efforts.
8. Represent the institution in a positive manner.
9. Participate and assist in advance registration, regular registration, late registration, and schedule adjustment as assigned.
10. Participate in graduation and other College activities.
11. Serve on committees as assigned.
12. Participate in the College’s planning process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution
- One (1) year of full-time directly related experience
- Ability to obtain certification(s) necessary to administer Pearson VUE tests
- Ability to operate a computer and work with various software, including Pearson GED software
- Ability to demonstrate computer skills during screening
- Strong work ethic and high degree of workplace professionalism Excellent customer service skills
- Self-directed with strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
- Ability to meet the public in a friendly and receptive manner
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work a flexible, nonstandard work week when needed
- Effective oral and written communication skills; proficiency in the English language
- Proficient use of the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and/or Outlook
