Job Description Overview
The Program Manager is responsible for the daily operations of Butler County Senior Services/Transportation. This position coordinates transportation schedules, supports staff and volunteers, ensures compliance with county, state, and federal regulations, maintains confidentiality, assists with records and reports, and supports program activities. The role requires strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and a proactive, solution-focused approach.
Essential Functions
· Coordinate and schedule daily transportation requests, ensuring efficient and timely services.
· Build partnerships within the community and maintain knowledge of available community resources.
· Provide ongoing training and support for staff and volunteers.
· Ensure compliance with County, State, and Federal regulations relating to senior services and transportation.
· Complete daily counts, logs, and deposits with the Director.
· Communicate effectively with members, staff, volunteers, partner agencies, and county offices.
· Maintain accurate operational records and reports.
· Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client information, records, and internal operations.
· Address daily concerns using a proactive, solution-focused approach.
· Support the Director with operational records, reporting, data entry, and documentation.
· Schedule, plan, and support ongoing activities, groups, presentations, and monthly events.
· Assist with planning and supporting program fundraisers.
· Perform other duties assigned by the Senior Services Director.
Experience, Education & Training
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Two (2) years of experience in human services, senior services, transportation programs, or administrative program coordination preferred.
- Experience working with volunteers or supervising staff is preferred.
- Experience with scheduling, customer service, or compliance‑related environments is beneficial.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong organizational, scheduling, and time‑management skills.
- Ability to interpret and follow county, state, and federal guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to always maintain confidentiality.
- Strong problem‑solving abilities with a solution‑focused mindset.
- Ability to work independently while supporting team operations.
- General computer proficiency, including scheduling systems, email, and record‑keeping software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Required Certifications and Licenses
- Valid Nebraska Driver's License.
- Ability to obtain required certifications, training, and background checks.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred or obtainable within six months.
Work Environment
- Office and vehicle environment.
- Travel throughout Butler County and surrounding service areas may be required.
- Must be able to speak clearly for accurate and efficient communication.
- Must be able to work efficiently in stressful situations.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
