Full Job Description

A growing and professional organization in downtown Columbus is seeking an Accounting Administrative Assistant to support daily accounting operations while assisting with office administration and customer service activities. This role is ideal for someone who has previous accounting, accounts payable, billing, or bookkeeping experience and enjoys working in a fast-paced office environment.

This position will begin as a contract assignment with the opportunity to become permanent based on performance and business needs. This position will sit onsite with parking provided.

Responsibilities:

Process, review, and code invoices for approval and payment
Assist with accounts payable functions, expense tracking, and account reconciliation activities
Maintain accurate files for contracts, insurance certificates, invoices, and other business documents
Track purchase orders and assist with vendor and service contract administration
Monitor work orders and maintain records to ensure timely completion of service requests
Coordinate meetings, maintain calendars, and provide administrative support to management
Answer incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and assist with customer and vendor communications
Order office supplies and help maintain efficient day-to-day office operations
Assist with monthly reporting, budgeting support, and other special projects as assigned

Qualifications

At least one year of previous accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, billing, or accounting clerk experience strongly preferred
Administrative or office support experience in a professional environment

Strong Microsoft Excel skills (formulas, formatting and editing) and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain a high level of accuracy
Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills
Comfortable working with confidential financial and business information
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is a plus

Pay Details: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour
