Full Job Description

The Estimator is a detail-oriented individual responsible for the estimation and sales preparation processes. The Estimator works closely with the designer and sales team to produce timely and accurate estimates, proposals, and related job documentation required for pre and post-sale functions. The position requires strong communication skills, great attention to detail, and a focus on organized task management.

Responsibilities

Owns the estimating process
Responsible for the accuracy of estimates and proposals created
Accountable for achieving bid deadlines
Responsible for the preparation of timely and accurate job documentation (pre and post-sale)
Owns and is responsible for the pre-production job process
Owns and is accountable for maintaining an up-to-date estimating system

Experience and Qualifications

This position requires a two or four-year degree in construction, landscape, horticulture, or a related field.
Two years of estimating experience in construction, landscape, or related industry.
Working knowledge of standard landscape construction and maintenance practices.
Solid understanding of construction documentation, plans, detail drawings, site plans, and takeoff/measuring.
Candidate must be proficient in the use of computers and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Working knowledge of Aspire software is preferred.
