AI Data Engineer

Essential Skills

Education: Four-year degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
5+ years of professional data engineering experience with strong Python and SQL.
Experience building transformation pipelines (Airflow, Dagster, dbt, or equivalent).
Knowledge of how LLMs consume data (tokenization, context windows, parsing).
Experience with vector databases or embedding-based retrieval (Pinecone, pgvector, etc.).
Understanding of data quality patterns: validation, schema enforcement, and anomaly detection.
Experience with API-based and webhook-based data integration.
Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable in a consulting environment where data sources and quality vary wildly.

Preferred Skills

Experience working and integrating systems with commerce platforms (commercetools, Shopify, Kibo, or similar).
Hands-on experience with LLMs for production-level content generation or classification.
Experience with web scraping or content extraction pipelines.
