Full Job Description

Pataskala Oaks Care Center is looking for and enthusiastic and energizing individual to maintain and operate our kitchen department. Preferable prior kitchen management experience in a long-term care facility. This individual must have their Dietary Manager certification (CDM) and Serve Safe Certification. If not, the individual must be willing to obtain the certification within a reasonable amount of time after accepting the position. The individual would be responsible for ordering supplies and dietary needs for the facility. Maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen and managing your staff in an efficient manner. The schedule is primarily Monday through Friday but must be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed, and a rotating manager-on-duty schedule.

Job Type: Full-time

Application Question(s):

Do you currently have ONE of the following, or are willing to obtain one of the following credentials?

1. A certified dietary manager

2. A certified food service manager

3. Have a similar national certification for food service management and safety from a national certifying body

4. Have an associate's or higher degree in food service management or in management, from an accredited institution or higher learning.

5. Have 2 or more years of experience in the position of director of food and nutrition services in a nursing facility setting and have completed a course of study in food safety management, no later than Oct. 1, 2023, that includes topics integral to managing dietary operations including, but not limited to, foodborne illness, sanitation procedures, and food purchasing/receiving.
