Outside Sales Representative – Columbus, Ohio

Horizon Supply Company is seeking an ambitious, relationship-driven Outside Sales Representative to help accelerate our growth throughout the Columbus market one of the fastest-growing construction and industrial regions in the United States.

This is an opportunity to join a rapidly expanding company serving some of the nation’s largest contractors, industrial facilities, utilities, fabricators, and infrastructure projects. You’ll inherit existing customer relationships while building your own book of business through prospecting, networking, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Founded in 2012, Horizon Supply Company is a leading distributor of industrial, construction, safety, welding, and MRO products. We serve customers throughout the Midwest and Southeast with one of the region’s most extensive inventories, supported by in-house equipment repair services, e-commerce capabilities, and a customer-first culture. As we continue expanding into new markets, we’re looking for driven professionals who want to build a career not just fill a sales territory.

What You’ll Do

Develop and grow relationships with contractors, industrial facilities, utilities, fabrication shops, data centers, and construction firms throughout Central Ohio.
Generate new business through prospecting, networking, jobsite visits, referrals, and strategic account development.
Manage and expand an existing customer base while identifying opportunities for additional growth.
Partner with customers to provide solutions involving tools, safety products, welding supplies, abrasives, equipment, and repair services.
Conduct regular field visits to jobsites, plants, contractor offices, and project locations.
Collaborate with Horizon’s inside sales, operations, and leadership teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
Represent Horizon Supply Company at industry events, trade shows, and customer functions.

What We’re Looking For

Outside sales experience preferred, ideally in industrial distribution, construction supply, safety, welding, MRO, or related industries.
Proven ability to build relationships and develop business through both account management and prospecting.
Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
Self-motivated individual who thrives working independently in the field.
Competitive mindset with a desire to achieve and exceed sales goals.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout the territory.
