Job Summary

Benefits Account Managers are integral to our team, working closely with Account Executives and clients to ensure that benefits renewals go smoothly, that client complications are anticipated, and that day-to-day requests are handled effectively. As a Benefits Account Manager, you will serve as the key relationship contact for an assigned book of business, guiding clients through renewals, compliance requirements, and plan administration. This is a relationship-driven role that requires exceptional communication, strong organization, and the ability to solve complex problems in a deadline-driven industry.

What You'll Do

Client Relationship Management: Serve as the key relationship contact at all leadership levels for an assigned book of business with a total value of $500K to $1M, developing an annual service plan with focused goals for each account.
Renewals & Compliance: Administer renewals, including preparing contractual changes, and educate, advise, and support clients on compliance topics such as ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, 5500s, and Health Care Reform.
Marketing & Proposals: Obtain client census and quotes, prepare and submit bid specifications, evaluate results, and create client proposals with current and renewal details and marketplace options.
Strategic Account Planning: Direct and implement cost-effective solutions to minimize risk, and create, review, and approve client deliverables including renewal projections, market evaluations, and annual utilization reviews.
Client Education & Support: Conduct on-site meetings to communicate benefit plan details to employees and administrators, draft employee communications on plan changes, and resolve enrollment, claims, and billing issues.
Team Collaboration: Support Account Executives with book management and client action items, participate in client meetings, and collaborate with teammates to expand the depth of services provided.

Minimum Qualifications

At least 1 year of experience handling group health and ancillary benefits.
Current Ohio Department of Insurance Major Lines license.
College degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced computer skills, including MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint), EPIC, and online enrollment and onboarding platforms.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage time-sensitive projects and work independently.

Additional Information

Location: Dublin, Ohio (In-Office). Note: Employees are eligible to request a hybrid schedule (up to 2 days remote) upon successful completion of their first 12 months, subject to performance and role requirements.
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. While employees must be reachable by clients during that time, some schedule accommodations may be considered to support individual needs. Please feel free to discuss this with us during the interview process.
Compensation: $80,000 – $100,000 base salary annually, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: We offer medical (85% employer-paid), 100% employer-paid dental and vision, employer-paid short- and long-term disability, and group life/AD&D insurance. Additional benefits include: 20 days PTO plus your birthday off, maternity leave, 401(k) eligible after 60 days, and HSA with employer contribution.
