Full Job Description

Worthington Christian Village is a great place to work offering a total ministry to the senior adults of Central Ohio .Our Assisted Living department is currently looking for a qualifies Assisted Living Director to join our team. Some of the job duties and requirements may include but are not limited to:

Objective:

Direct, plan, organize and develop the overall operation of the Assisted Living in accordance with the current regulations. Work with the Director of Nursing, Administrator and Medical Director to ensure that the highest quality of care is maintained at all times.

Qualifications:

· Must be a Registered Nurse or Licenses Practical Nurse, and a graduate of an approved school of nursing.

· Must possess and maintain a nursing license in good standing with the state of Ohio.

· Must be able to work without restriction

Demonstrate the following attributes:

· Must be organized, and have strong computer skills

· Must make independent decisions

· Must interact tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies and the general public

· Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures as well as Assisted Living regulations

· Must demonstrate leadership and consistency

· Must “get hands dirty” and be part of the team

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Staffing

· Hire qualified staff

· Ensure adequate staff, meeting resident’s needs 24/7/365

· Oversee scheduling of staff and handle call offs

· Work as a caregiver (nurse or nurse aide) when required

Service to Residents

· Ensure the delivery of excellent care and services as well as ensure excellent customer satisfaction

· Oversee professional standards and ensures staff provides good quality of life and dignity to each resident

· Oversee the delivery of physician services

· Work with the administrator assessing effectiveness of pharmacy, lab, and other ancillary services

· Oversee the special needs of residents, implementing appropriate policies and precoders for resident care

· Develop, monitor, update and communicate resident’s individual care plans with staff and families

Regulation Compliance

· Maintain compliance with all assisted living regulations, ensuring solid survey/inspection results. The goal is to maintain zero deficiencies.

· Develop, update, implement and manage policies and procedures based on regulations

· Make rounds, observe staff and manage effectively

· Monitor documentation and ensure appropriate, timely and accurate documentation is present in the resident’s clinical record

· Provide appropriate dementia care and mental health in-service training for staff as described in regulation

Administrative Functions

· Perform various HR functions including and not limited to the following:

o payroll items

o provide adequate counseling, coaching and discipline as needed to supervise staff members, including termination when appropriate

o develop and update job descriptions

· Assist with various WCV committee functions as requested

· Take on call responsibilities

· Monitor various vendor bills for accuracy including resident supplies and others as assigned by the administrator

· Participate in QA program and provide appropriate quarterly reports

· Recommend solutions to problem faced by the Assisted Living, it’s staff, and residents

· All other duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
