About the Role

As a Lead Field Technician for Network Infrastructure, you will serve as the primary onsite authority for complex cabling and structured network deployments. You will drive project success by managing labor resources, ensuring rigorous quality standards, and fostering a culture of safety and technical excellence across all site operations.

Responsibilities

Direct onsite project execution, ensuring all milestones are met according to established schedules and productivity benchmarks.
Lead and mentor installation crews, identifying training opportunities to elevate team performance and technical proficiency.
Maintain strict quality control by validating all installations against customer specifications and industry standards before final sign-off.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineers and other trades, to resolve site conflicts and optimize workflow.
Manage material logistics and labor allocation to ensure projects remain on track and within scope.
Champion site safety by enforcing rigorous compliance protocols and conducting regular risk assessments.
Track and report project data, including efficiency metrics and material usage, to project management stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required Skills

5+ years of experience in structured cabling, rack infrastructure, and large-scale network deployments.
Proven ability to lead multiple crews and manage complex, high-paced construction environments.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and port maps.
Strong technical knowledge of copper and fiber optic installation, termination, and troubleshooting.
Advanced competency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and project tracking.
Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform extended periods of standing or walking.

Preferred Skills

BICSI or FOA (Fiber Optic Association) certification.
Certified Cabling Test Technician (CCTT) or equivalent credentials.
Demonstrated experience in mentoring team members and fostering professional growth.
Strong background in customer-facing roles with an emphasis on service excellence.
