Full Job Description

We are looking for a friendly, motivated, 'comfortable on the phone', and customer service driven individual for the role of front desk check in. Position will entail all tasks of running the front desk. Must have great communication skills, with patience and compassion for children. The tasks will include greeting patients, scheduling, answering phones, presenting treatment plans and financials, explaining insurance benefits, discussing surgery treatment plans and paperwork, organizing the dentist's surgery schedule, accounts receivable, and other administrative duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will be competent in prioritizing and working with little supervision. They will be self-motivated and trustworthy. The ideal candidate will be willing to step in where and when they are needed.

Responsibilities

Managing all checkout desk duties
Scheduling
Reviewing Treatment plans and taking payments
Explaining insurance benefits
Managing phone calls and correspondence (e-mail, letters, packages etc.)
Answering phone
Front Desk/Receptionist Duties
Verifying insurance and benefits
Updating patient charts
Front desk duties such as greeting patients and answering phones

Skills

Proven experience in healthcare field working front office, front desk receptionist or relevant role
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Knowledge and comfort collecting copays and payments
Knowledge and experience with Open Dental Software preferred but not necessary
Knowledge in pediatric dentistry would be preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
