Full Job Description

Lab Technician - New Albany

At Job&Talent, we are recruiting for a Lab Technician to work with a leading manufacturer in the home fragrance industry in New Albany. This hands-on role in the Sample Lab involves creating customer product samples, mixing colors, testing batches, and ensuring quality standards are met before products are finalized.

Shift Patterns

2nd shift, Monday through Friday 3:30 pm to 12:00 am

Pay Rates

17.00 USD hourly

Essential requirements for Lab Technician

Tell me about your experience following work instructions to create a product.
Describe your experience measuring materials, weighing ingredients, or calculating ratios.
Have you performed color matching, visual inspections, or verified products met customer specifications? Where?
Tell me about your experience with quality checks, inspections, or product testing. What did you do when something was out of spec?
What experience do you have documenting production, testing, or quality results?
Tell me about a time you managed multiple priorities at work. How did you stay organized?

Desirable requirements for Lab Technician

Have you ever worked in a laboratory, R&D, quality, or sample-making environment? What company was this with, and what were your responsibilities?
This role requires a good eye for color. Have you worked with paints, coatings, inks, cosmetics, candles, food products, or other items where color accuracy was important?

Role for Lab Technician

Review sample schedules and gather necessary materials for production.
Follow precise formulas and work orders to create accurate customer samples.
Perform color matching by mixing waxes, dyes, and fragrances to meet specific requirements.
Conduct quality checks and document results to ensure compliance with standards.
Maintain a clean, organized lab environment while adhering to safety protocols and wearing required personal protective equipment.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure production timelines are met.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Utilize Microsoft Excel and Word to maintain accurate records and documentation.
