Assistant Project Manager – New Albany, OH

The Opportunity

The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for supporting the project team by assisting with and participating in the planning of the project, cost estimates, project execution, organization, scheduling, budgeting, and closeout. The APM works closely with project managers, field supervisors, engineers, safety teams, and clients to support the project’s life cycle during the electrical construction and closeout of electrical industrial construction projects.

What You’ll Do

Assist in preparing estimates and cost budgets for the project.
Assist in developing project schedules, work plans, and worker forecasts.
Track the progress of the work and provide necessary reporting to the project team.
Assist in organizing and maintaining all construction documentation for the project, including RFI, QAQC documentation, submittals, change orders, specifications, schedules, etc.
Help with preparing budgets, cost reports, billing, and forecasting.
Hold progress meetings and prepare reports for project stakeholder meetings.
Assist in all closeout activities for testing, commissioning, and project turnover.

What You’ll Contribute

SharePoint, Accubid, Word, Excel, COINS, and Procore software knowledge
Degree in Construction Management or similar course of study, will accept relevant alternatives, such as equivalent work experience, certifications, or specialized training.
Organization, planning, and prioritizing work
Communicating with customers, supervisors, crews, or peers
Leadership skills
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail

A Few More Details

Ability to visit active job sites, work outside, climb ladders, and inspect electrical installations
Ability to work in industrial environments (noise, height, confined spaces, etc.).
Valid driver’s license
