Procurement Analyst

Job Summary

Hive+Co has a contract opportunity with our client for a Procurement Analyst who supports sourcing, contracting, and supplier management activities by providing analytical and operational support to Procurement Consultants, Procurement Specialists, and Category Managers. This role is responsible for gathering and analyzing procurement data, conducting market research, evaluating supplier performance, and developing reporting tools that support strategic sourcing decisions. The Procurement Analyst helps drive cost optimization, risk management, and process improvements while collaborating with internal stakeholders across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Sourcing Support

Support sourcing and contracting initiatives by providing research, analysis, and administrative support throughout the procurement lifecycle.
Assist in the development of sourcing strategies and supplier evaluation criteria.
Support bid analysis and supplier selection activities.
Participate in contract review and negotiation preparation through spend analysis and historical contract research.
May independently manage or support lower-complexity sourcing projects.

Data Analysis & Reporting

Conduct spend analysis and identify trends, opportunities, and areas for cost optimization.
Develop and maintain analytical models, including pricing analysis, total cost of ownership (TCO), demand planning, and supplier performance metrics.
Build, maintain, and enhance reports and dashboards to support procurement decision-making.
Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to supplier performance, market conditions, and procurement activities.

Market Research & Supplier Analysis

Perform market research to evaluate supplier capabilities, market conditions, pricing trends, and potential risks.
Analyze supplier performance metrics and provide recommendations to support sourcing decisions.
Assess market complexity and risk considerations associated with procurement initiatives.

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 3 years of procurement, supply chain, sourcing, purchasing, customer service, or related analytical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting sourcing, supplier management, contract administration, or procurement operations.
Familiarity with procurement and supply chain processes and best practices.
Experience working with reporting and analytics tools.

Skills & Competencies

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to interpret and present complex data in a meaningful way.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with suppliers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement.

Preferred Technical Skills

Experience with procurement, ERP, or asset management systems.
Familiarity with Maximo and Cognos is preferred.
Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting capabilities.
Experience developing dashboards, reports, and data models.

Pay: From $27.00 per hour
