Full Job Description

V&S Galvanizing, LLC has over 100 years of experience in Hot Dip Galvanizing, and we are the leader in the steel coating industry. Today we operate over 9 galvanizing plants in the U.S., featuring exceptional service to small fabricators as well as companies known worldwide.

Position Summary:

We are seeking an energetic individual to fulfill the role of HR Coordinator. This is a full-time position located at our growing corporate team in Columbus, Ohio. The HR Coordinator provides administrative and operational support for a wide range of human resources functions, including recruiting, onboarding, payroll, and employee records management, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Support day-to-day HR operations and administrative functions
Assist with recruitment activities including posting jobs, scheduling interviews, and coordinating candidate communication
Support onboarding and offboarding processes for employees
Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS (Dayforce)
Assist with new hire orientation and training coordination
Track and management required HR documentation and compliance forms
Support benefits administration and employee inquiries as needed
Prepare HR reports, spreadsheets, and documentation as requested
Provide general support to HR leadership and HR team initiatives

HR Administration & Operations -

Support day-to-day HR operations and administrative functions
Assist with recruitment activities including job postings, scheduling interviews, and coordinating candidate communication
Support onboarding and offboarding processes for employees
Maintain accurate employee records and update HRIS systems (e.g., Dayforce)
Assist with new hire orientation and employee training coordination
Track and manage required HR documentation and compliance forms
Support employee inquiries related to HR policies and procedures
Assist HR leadership with reporting, data entry, and special projects

Payroll Support -

Assist with processing bi-weekly or weekly payroll cycles
Support payroll data entry including new hires, terminations, and employee changes
Ensure proper tracking of PTO, holidays, and leave balances
Assist in resolving payroll discrepancies and employee payroll inquiries
Maintain confidentiality and compliance with payroll regulations and company policies

Qualifications and Requirements:

High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field (preferred)
1–3 years of experience in Human Resources or administrative support role (preferred)
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Experience with HRIS systems (Dayforce or similar) a plus
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Experience in a manufacturing or multi-site environment (preferred)
Knowledge of recruiting and onboarding processes (preferred)
Ability to work independently while supporting a team environment (preferred)
Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities (preferred)
