Full Job Description

Work on high-impact structural projects across the U.S. while joining a collaborative, employee-owned engineering firm based in Columbus with a flexible hybrid schedule. Structural Engineer (PE or EIT Nearing PE) offers the chance to design a wide variety of commercial and building structures, with straight-time overtime, strong career growth, and support for professional development.

Qualifications and responsibilities for this Structural Engineer position include:

3+ years of structural engineering experience (or recent PE / EIT preparing for PE)
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred; will consider EIT candidates actively pursuing PE licensure
Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications, and structural reports using applicable codes and engineering principles
Develop engineer studies and schematic designs
Coordinate with engineers, CAD technicians, clients, project managers, and other disciplines to deliver complete and accurate project outputs
Review and check design drawings for accuracy, constructability, and compliance using established QA/QC procedures
Use structural analysis and modeling tools such as RAM Structural System, RISA, ETABS, and InterCalc (familiarity with one or more is preferred)
Actively pursue professional development opportunities and maintain required PDH for PE licensure

Salary: $75,000–$150,000+ per year, commensurate with experience.

Benefits: Medical, Dental & Vision (three plan options) with the company paying approximately 75% of medical premiums; 100% company-paid Short-Term and Long-Term Disability; Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP); incentive compensation/bonus program; PTO begins accruing on day one with standard PTO starting at two weeks and negotiable, plus an additional 8 hours of PTO awarded annually; company pays for the PE exam and continuing education.
