QUICK SUMMARY

We're a small creative marketing company in Columbus looking for a videographer and editor to join the team full-time. You'll shoot on location, edit content built for social media, and work directly with the founder. We care about making content that actually performs, not just content that looks good. If you're a strong editor with a real curiosity for what makes things work on social, this might be your spot.

ABOUT US

We are a marketing company that doesn't believe in fitting in or doing what everyone else is doing. We care about results and gravitate toward social media driven projects. Creatively executed marketing campaigns are what we are truly drawn to. Currently our services are centered around the real estate niche: listing media, social video campaigns for realtors, handling social media pages for custom home builders, and some work outside of that genre. We strive to have a brand that customers love coming back to and doesn't blend into the sea of all the other run of the mill marketing companies around us.

OVERVIEW

We are seeking a videographer / editor who is passionate about creating compelling visual stories that captivate audiences, elevate brand presence, and provide campaign results. This dynamic role combines the art of videography with expert editing skills to produce high-quality marketing assets across various platforms. The ideal candidate is eager to always study and improve, understands their way around equipment and an editing program, can provide excellent customer service, and wants to help a team thrive and grow.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Shoot video on location (client shoots, listings, brand content)
Direct and communicate with clients before, during, and after the shoot
Edit short-form and long-form videos for social platforms and custom deliveries
Follow shot plans and creative direction; contribute ideas to improve them
Study social media performance. Understand what's working and why, and apply it to edits
Manage file organization, backups, and delivery workflow
Assist with content planning for social media clients
Hit deadlines consistently (turnaround times are part of the product)
Contribute to processes that improve systems and make the client experience better

REQUIREMENTS

Strong people skills. Having the ability to see where you can go the extra mile for people, being able to calm an anxious client who will be on camera, and knowing how to remedy situations when a mistake has been made.
Experienced and efficient editing and camera skills. A strong sense of style and instinct for what makes content feel right. Solid understanding of how to navigate programs and figure out solutions to problems in the editing suite.
Genuine interest in social media and marketing. A curiosity about what makes campaigns perform and why some content takes off while other content doesn't.
Responsible and reliable. Arrives to appointments on time with all equipment prepped and ready.
Part 107 drone license. (Not required, but would be expected to pass and receive license soon after joining.)
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to shoots around Columbus
Able to take creative direction and critiques
Self-managed and able to handle tasks on location independently
Self-taught problem solver. You know how to find answers to creative and technical problems on your own (a degree from YouTube University counts here).

ADDITIONALLY

We are looking for someone who believes they can help us grow into the top creative agency that clients rave about because they love working with us and they love the results. We are a very small business, so you would be a very influential part of creating the brand, the systems, and the direction moving forward. We're looking for someone who wants to build a career here, not just a resume.

Equipment is not required, but depending on what you have, we may incorporate it.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
