Job Description
The Sr Project Architect leads the design and technical execution of complex architectural projects from design development through construction documentation and administration. This role presents directly to clients, partners closely with project managers, and serves as a subject matter expert on building systems, materials, and project delivery. The Sr Project Architect provides technical oversight and mentorship to junior staff, coordinates with consultants and contractors, and upholds a high standard of accuracy, craft, and collaborative communication.
Responsibilities

Present directly to clients with authority and clarity on technical and design solutions, representing the project vision and rationale in a compelling and professional manner.

Partner closely with Project Managers to supervise, guide, and elevate the team’s design and technical output across all project phases.

Lead design development on projects of significant scope and complexity, ensuring that design intent is clearly articulated, coordinated, and documented.

Oversee and produce comprehensive construction documentation, including drawings and specifications, to support accurate bidding, permitting, and construction.

Serve as a subject matter expert on complex building systems, materials, codes, and project delivery methods, providing guidance and direction to the broader project team.

Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior architects and architectural staff, offering feedback, coaching, and support while embracing a culture of mutual learning.

Coordinate proactively with consultants, contractors, and agency reviewers through all phases of project delivery to resolve issues, align expectations, and maintain project momentum.

Review, refine, and iterate on design and technical solutions to uphold a high standard of accuracy and craft, ensuring that project work is thoroughly developed and resolved.

Contribute actively to a culture of clear, proactive communication by sharing information openly, staying organized, and keeping the entire team informed and aligned.

Ensure that project deliverables meet quality, schedule, and design intent objectives while balancing detail-oriented execution with big-picture project thinking.
Essential Skills

Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch).

10+ years of architectural experience with demonstrated Sr-level project responsibility.

Deep command of design, technical documentation, and construction administration across multiple project types.

Proven ability to present confidently to clients and lead multi-disciplinary project teams.

Mastery of Revit and project delivery workflows, including model management and coordination.

Proficiency with architecture and design tools such as AutoCAD and drafting software.

Strong project management capabilities, including coordination, scheduling, and oversight of design development.

Exceptional attention to detail combined with strong conceptual and strategic thinking.

Honest, direct, and consistent communication style, with a tendency to over-communicate to prevent misunderstandings.

Collaborative, ego-free approach that prioritizes team success and shared outcomes.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $111920.00 - $124940.00/hr.
