Associate Sales Representative
Gemini Products — Greater Columbus, Ohio
Gemini Products is seeking an entry-level Associate Sales Representative to build a long-term career in technical industrial sales.
This is a full-time, field-based developmental position serving Greater Columbus and the surrounding counties. During the first 6–12 months, the associate will learn directly from an experienced senior salesperson while supporting a major automotive manufacturing account.
The initial priority is learning Gemini’s business, understanding manufacturing applications, supporting customers, and developing the technical and relationship skills needed for future account ownership. This is not a high-pressure, new-account-only sales role.
Responsibilities
- Shadow and support a senior salesperson serving a major automotive manufacturer.
- Participate in customer meetings, plant visits, demonstrations, trials, and project follow-up.
- Build professional relationships with operators, engineers, maintenance personnel, supervisors, purchasing teams, and other customer contacts.
- Learn the products, suppliers, applications, and processes associated with the key account.
- Document customer needs, commitments, meeting notes, and next steps.
- Assist with quotations, presentations, product information, and customer correspondence.
- Coordinate technical support from Gemini leadership, suppliers, and the senior salesperson.
- Begin handling appropriate customer follow-up during the first month.
- Conduct consistent weekly account research and prospecting.
- Learn and accurately use Gemini’s Microsoft Office tools and new ERP system.
- Progress toward routine quotation authority and independent management of assigned accounts.
Ideal Candidate

- Relationship-focused and patient with long sales cycles.
Preferred Qualifications
- One to three years of relevant professional experience.
- Manufacturing, automotive, industrial, technical-support, customer-service, or sales experience.
- Familiarity with industrial tools, fastening systems, automation, assembly equipment, ergonomics, estimating, quotations, order entry, ERP, or CRM systems.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and general reporting.
These qualifications are preferred, not required. Strong recent college, technical-school, and trade-school graduates are encouraged to apply. No specific degree is required.
Mandatory Requirements
- Reside in Greater Columbus or a surrounding county.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle.
- Ability to regularly visit manufacturing facilities.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to Gemini’s Brecksville office and supplier-training locations.
- Ability to travel overnight occasionally.
- Ability to follow plant safety and PPE requirements.
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to carry samples or demonstration equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
Compensation
During the initial 6–12-month development period:
- $50,000–$60,000 annual base salary, based on experience.
- Annual discretionary performance bonus opportunity of up to 5% of base salary.
- $750 monthly vehicle allowance.
As the associate demonstrates readiness and assumes account responsibility, compensation may transition to a $40,000 base salary plus tiered commission based on collected gross profit. The transition is performance-based and will be documented through a separate written compensation agreement.
