About Our Client

An established regional general contractor with a strong presence in the multifamily construction market. The company has built a reputation for delivering quality projects while maintaining a collaborative internal culture, and they have structured this position around giving experienced construction professionals greater flexibility and autonomy without sacrificing access to their wider project team.

Job Description

Prepare detailed estimates and bid proposals for multifamily construction projects
Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project documents
Perform quantity takeoffs and develop accurate cost estimates
Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor and vendor pricing
Identify scope gaps, inconsistencies, and potential cost risks
Develop competitive bids while maintaining project profitability
Collaborate with Project Managers and preconstruction teams throughout the estimating process
Maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors
Participate in bid reviews and turnover meetings
Assist with value engineering and cost-saving opportunities
Track market pricing and maintain up-to-date estimating information

The Successful Applicant

Proven experience estimating garden-style multifamily projects
Strong understanding of wood-frame multifamily construction
Experience with quantity takeoffs, subcontractor pricing, and bid analysis
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Strong communication and organizational skills
Proficiency with construction estimating software and Microsoft Office
Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously
