Full Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Accurately manage and maintain patient dental records, ensuring all documentation is complete and up-to-date.
Perform dental insurance verification and clearly explain coverage details and patient financial responsibilities.
Utilize CDT (Current Dental Terminology) codes for accurate billing and claims processing.
Maintain a strong understanding of dental terminology to communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, and staff.
Submit, track, and follow up on dental insurance claims, including addressing denials and appeals.
Collaborate with front desk and clinical staff to streamline office operations and enhance patient satisfaction.
Ensure the practice complies with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations.

Qualifications

Experience: Previous experience in a dental office is REQUIRED. Familiarity with dental software (e.g., Open Dental) is a plus.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of dental insurance plans, CDT coding, and dental procedures.
Skills:
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills to interact with patients, insurance providers, and team members.
Compliance: Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.

Pros:

Privately owned and operated, not corporate ran
Great hours (come to work after rush hour, leave before rush hour)
· Monday- Thursday 8:30 am- 4:00 pm
Friday 7:30am- 1:30pm
· Annual scrub allowance
· Paid holidays (eligible day one of employment)
· Paid vacation time starts immediately
· Dental Services for immediate family

Cons:

Around 70 hours every two weeks
No overtime potential
No evenings

We are looking for someone who is a team player and has a great attitude with a vast knowledge of dental administrative work.
