Job Overview
Bellawood Farm is seeking a skilled and dedicated Meat Cutter/Butcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of meat cutting techniques, and a passion for providing quality food to customers. As a Meat Cutter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality meat products are available for our customers while adhering to food safety standards.

Responsibilities

Perform meat cutting tasks including slicing, dicing, and trimming various types of meat.
Assist with curing, smoking, sausage making, and preparation and production of other meat products.
Ensure all meat products are prepared according to specifications and customer requests.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the meat preparation area, following strict food safety protocols.
Package and label meat products accurately for display and sale.
Collaborate with retail and kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food production.
Monitor inventory levels of meat products and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Adhere to all health regulations and safety guidelines in the food industry.

Experience

Previous experience in food preparation or kitchen environments is preferred.
Familiarity with culinary techniques, particularly in meat cutting and handling.
Knowledge of food safety standards and practices within the food production industry.
Proficiency in using knives and other cutting tools safely and effectively.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in food handling.
